Hello and sorry for the delay. There have as you obviously have seen been a lot of action the last week or so. We are getting on top of things now and will start adding new features.

We are also putting together a moderation team that will take some responsibility on fixing issues concerning specific apps.

I’m not sure what the best mechanism is for letting you guys know about small problems I see with the user submissions.

For instance, there are two items submitted that are really the same thing; Synergy2 and SynergyKM. I suspect the problem is that your system does not allow multiple apps to be submitted with the same name. And Synergy happens to have the same name as a popular iTunes utility. So, submitters have to make up a new name to avoid the conflict. Bummer.

Nice site. I’m really enjoying it! I wish I had thought of it first. :-)

Hey guys,

Just wondering, when there is an update to an application, does it get listed on the front page again? (Like MU, like VT)

Thanks!

Yeah, when there is a new version it will hit the front page again.

How about this…. I go through lots of apps on this site and would dearly love to have a bookmark feature. I can’t download and try out all the apps I’m interested in but will do in the future, hence a bookmark tag/switch/feature.

Everyone uses “bookmarks” - since the concept of “iUseThis” is already here, we need something a little more creative (yes, it would do the same thing as a bookmark :)

How about “iWantThis” or something related which is a list similar to the current profile, but for apps that we’re currently not using, but want to try soon.

I personally would also love this feature. Then I can just scan through everyone’s picks and add select ones to my Want list to then try at a later time.

We’re working on something along those lines, but for now, using the del.icio.us integration should get you a long way. For instance, you could tag the app with ‘testthis’ or something similar.
