There are few things that make Arne and me more happy than developers wanting to integrate with iusethis. That's why we try to provide a rich toolbox for developers.
In addition to our Data Formats and RSS feeds which let you get to your data in various structured formats, we also provide a simple REST API to let you perform actions on the site. This API is used by Appfresh, among others to update use counts on iusethis. All of functions require you to be logged in, and we use HTTP Basic Authentication to validate the user information. You should also use the POST method when accessing these methods.
Note that this API is meant to grow as needed, so if you need to access a feature that we do not provide currently, please contact us at feedback@iusethis.com
