Arne had this idea that we should integrate iwatchthis with twitter, so that you could easily share cool stuff you've watched with your fellow peeps on twitter. I figured this sounded like a neat idea too, so we started hacking, and after a little while we had this working:
To activate it, you just choose twitter under You, and punch in your twitter username and password and choose between automatically posting all your videos or 'manual', which means you get an option to post the video to twitter after posting it to iwatchthis. However, we also figured it would be cool to have a feed of the videos your friend have posted. Net::Twitter makes it easy to fetch your following from twitter, so after a few espressos more we now have an option to find your followers who use iwatchthis as well:
After syncing up, a new option appears in the Others submenu, 'following', which shows you the videos posted by the people you follow. It also has a RSS feed so that you can get the videos straight into your favorite RSS reader. Neat huh? Now I just need you to sync up with twitter so that I have more people in my following feed :)
