Very interesting article from A List Apart about developing communities.
I was lucky enough to attend a talk by Derek Powazek and Heather Champ at FOWA last year, and had heard some of the things before.
It is very hard to give general advice, and I don’t really know if you really develop communities, or if they actually develop themselves. I see my role as a gardener, trying to tend to it as well as I can. The Flickr guys are some of the best gardeners ever though.
